“GeoPriorPC: Nadir-view to 3D Point Cloud Reconstruction for Buildings via Two-Stage Diffusion Priors”
Y. Korny, S. Yoo, D. Panangian, K. Bittner, A. Wichmann, G. Sohn. Proceedings of the IEEE/CVF CVPR Workshops, 2026. Paper
GeoPriorPC builds a 3D point cloud of a building from one image taken straight down from above. It works in two stages built on diffusion models: the first predicts how the building looks from an oblique angle, and the second turns that into 3D points.
The paper is joint work with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Jade University of Applied Sciences.
